(she/her/hers)

Dr. Holly Hinderlie is a licensed psychologist with over twenty years of experience providing individual psychotherapy to adolescents and adults who face a wide spectrum of life challenges. She completed her doctorate in counseling psychology at Boston College and her predoctoral training at The Center for Multicultural Training in Psychology (CMTP) at Boston Medical Center. At CMTP, she worked with clients whose trauma and chronic medical conditions were at the heart of their mental health concerns.

During her postdoctoral internship at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Hinderlie provided psychotherapy to undergraduate and graduate students, many of whom were experiencing the unique challenges that arise in the context of an elite and competitive academic environment.

Upon completing her post-doctoral work, Dr. Hinderlie continued to provide individual, family and group therapy to clients of diverse backgrounds at The Guidance Center, a Harvard-affiliated community mental health center in Cambridge, Massachusetts. Dr. Hinderlie’s passion for working with college students led her to the Iliff School of Theology at the University of Denver where she provided psychotherapy to students. In 2005 began her twelve year tenure as the Director of Counseling at Maret School, an independent K-12 school in Washington, DC. From 2017 - 2020 she led the sexual assault prevention and response efforts at Choate Rosemary Hall, a private boarding school in CT.
